Amy Kan most recently served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Vubiquity where she oversaw corporate marketing, communications, public relations and events. During her tenure at Vubiquity, the company expanded from 80 to more than 500 employees globally and Amy grew the department to include creative services, content marketing and event management, launching tradeshow exhibition, corporate sponsorships, consumer research, and trade advertising. As a strategic marketer and communicator, Amy combined customer and stakeholder insights, creativity and management skills, to lead the company’s rebranding from Avail-TVN to Vubiquity in March 2013. The new branding received numerous awards from the Business Marketing Association (BMA), including the prestigious Global Ace, for Brand Identity/Brand Name. In addition, Amy built aggressive corporate communications plans for the company around acquisitions as well as product launches and company growth. Before working at VUBIQUITY, Amy gained extensive media experience in both the UK and US, that included 3 years at British Airways PLC, where she managed the airline's inflight entertainment program, media consulting positions with Hydra Associates, Cap Gemini, Hit Entertainment and BBC Digital Radio, and an early career at HBO in the scheduling and original programming departments. Amy earned her MBA from the London Business School and holda BA in Communications from the University of Michigan.

    After relocating to the U.S. in 2003, I stepped into a marketing and media strategy consulting role to drive visibility and generate new business for Rockwell Collins, a provider of in-flight entertainment technologies and content-aggregation services to the airline industry. In this position, I advised senior executives and decision makers on business development strategies, with a focus on in-flight media and marketing.

  • Entertainment Program Manager at British Airways, Plc

    I joined British Airways, a global airline, to revamp and revitalize in-flight entertainment services and increase visibility, awareness, and—with media sales—profitability across 18 video programming channels, 12 audio channels, and four magazine titles through finely researched, data-driven branding, marketing, and communications programs. I pioneered strategies to expand the reach and impact of in-flight entertainment by leading direct reports managing dedicated teams from a custom publishing house and content aggregation firm and working with global Marketing Managers to execute initiatives in worldwide markets. Controlled a $40M budget.
